Moved by the beauty of the natural landscape, he began to make work and experiment with materials. Iverson creates his collaged paintings using only paper, rabbit skin glue, and Sumi ink. His palettes of white, gold, brown, and gray reference aspects of the Montana landscape: the range, snow, gravel roads; while his stark black lines reflect on philosophy and the sometimes chaotic nature of life. Their scale is often monumental, having power to both encapsulate a viewer and command their focused attention.
